Horsethief River – 1 day
Horsethief River – 1 day – Class 3-4
The Horsethief River is a technical and continuous class 3 river with a class 4 rapid and one waterfall portage that some expert paddlers have run in the past. It is one that is nerve racking at first but once you do it a second or third time it begins to feel comfortable and offers lots of fun and playful rapids! That being said, having a guide show you the way the first time around can take some of the ‘fear of the unknown’ out of the equation so you can paddle your best!
- Shuttles to and from paddling sections from our paddle shop
- 2 Experienced Kayak Guides to get you down the river safely and to help you achieve your personal paddling goals!
We require our Horsethief paddlers to join us on the Toby Creek paddle the day before so that we can do some paddler development and try some challenging lines on a very accessible river before venturing out to a river that is more canyon style.
