Are you Paddle Canada certified? If so, you must take a PDC every 3 years in order to maintain your certification.
This program is designed to update your instructor certification. However, we have also added a day to offer you new skills for river specific paddle boarding! Saturday will be full of personal development in Basic and Advanced Instructor Skills with the latest updates on Paddle Canada course protocol.
On Sunday RetaSUPs will take you onto the Columbia River to try a new discipline on your paddle board! You have learned to paddle with wind, waves and how to instruct others- but now lets add a new skill to your repetoir and venture onto a river without boards! It is exciting, challenging and of course, FUN! You may decide you need to start thinking about becoming a River SUP instructor!
What to bring
- Board, paddle and immersion gear
- River shoes, quick release belt (or similar)
- Throw Bag (and instructor appropriate rescue equipment)
- PFD
- Helmet for river day
- All equipment you would use as an instructor
- Snacks, meals, hydration
